Bike Tune Up Roundup

The goal of the class is to teach people how to recognize safe & unsafe riding vehicles and provide basic knowledge and easy skills for addressing less than optimal conditions. Bike tune up, maintenance, inspection and light repairs will be covered.No prerequisite knowledge or skills required!
Tire pressure, brake adjustment, derailleur (gear shifting) adjustment, headset (steering) adjustment, bottom bracket & crank arm inspection, hub and drivetrain inspection, and chain, brake line and derailleur cable lubrication will be covered. We will also demonstrate in detail how to effectively and efficiently change or patch a tire at home or on the road.
Participants are encouraged to bring their bicycles to address bike specific questions they may have.
After the class period, participants may stay and utilize the bike shop tools and equipment as a part of their class tuition. Expect to get your hands dirty!
Maximum class size is 8 people. Slots will be filled on first come basis, pre-registration and pre-payment is required. Instructor reserves the right to cancel class if fewer than three participants enroll.
No minimum age, but recommended 14 and up. Younger attendees may not get much from the class.
