Costume Building with PHP

October 17, 2015 @ 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

|Recurring Event (See all)

What better way to build your costume than with a group of helpful and creative folks that are ALSO building costumes. Join us for our free costume building nights where we will provide you with basic costuming supplies. Some of our members will be available to assist with power tool usage for those that need parts cut, routed, machined, etc.

We have a variety of materials on hand like felt, scrap wood, metal, construction paper, acrylic. There are also a lot of basic electrical components like LEDs, battery packs, resistors, transistors, buttons, switches, and we even have some microcontrollers on hand that can be purchased at cost. You can also use our 3D printers to make custom pieces, as well as sewing machines, hot glue guns, paper cutters, dremels, hand tools, and more. A tool that is available with supervision are the propane/MAP torches.

If you need something done with power tools and have not gone through our safety checkouts you must ask a member who is qualified to use the equipment. If you have been checked out on a tool, you can purchase a daypass and use it yourself.
