Intro to Soldering
January 25 @ 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Get your hands on a soldering iron and make something with electronics! Attendees will learn basic techniques for doing electronics soldering and how to use other associated tools. If you’ve never soldered before or could use a refresher on how to do it (or if you’re just looking for a fun class to take) this is the class for you!
There are two electronics kits that are provided for pratice in this class. The basic kit is a Learn to Solder Badge, a wearable light-up badge! The more advanced kit is an Electronic Dice Kit, an electrical version of a 6-sided die for playing board games and tabletop games.
Each attendee will have built two circuits by the end of the class, as well as an understanding of how soldering works and the different applications for it. If you want to get into jewelry or stained glass soldering, this would provide you with a good start for technique and what tools and materials are required.
