Instructions for Our FlashForge Printers

Running a Print

Slot on the A printer
Slot on the B printer
  • Prepare your GCode using Simplify3D or another slicer software.
  • Copy the code to an SD card (one may be in the machine)
  • Eject SD card from computer
  • Insert SD card into printer slot as pictured
  • Turn on printer - power switch is on the back on the left side
  • Using the buttons on the front panel, select "Print from SD Card" (should be selected by default, just press center OK button)
  • Use Up and Down arrows to navigate the cursor to the name of the file you want to print and hit the center button.
  • Printer should home itself and start heating up. It may take 10-20 minutes to heat up.
  • Make sure to wait until the printer has finished printing the entire first layer with no issues before walking away. If it has issues, stop the print and try to troubleshoot.

Changing Filament

"The Ultimate Spool Holder"
  • Turn the printer on.
  • Using the buttons on the front panel, go to "Utilities", then go to "Filament Loading".
  • Select Load Right or Left depending on which one you are using.
  • If there is already filament in the extruder you wish to use, Load first, then Unload. This helps prevent jams.
  • Extruder will heat up for a few minutes. Once it's done heating it will start moving the filament.
  • Once you have Loaded, and then Unloaded the filament, pull it out of the black tube attached to that extruder. Be careful not to let go of the wire and have it snap back to the plastic spool. The spool can get a knot very easily if this happens.
  • Swap out the spool for the one you want. Set it on the spool holder as shown.

General Tips and Safety

  • Make sure the bed is level every time for best results.
  • Always watch the first layer! If it's not sticking down to begin with, it's not going to work.
