  • Model: Econokiln J, Z18
    • from: Community Clay Center in Keene, NH (orginally from: Newton Potter's Supply)
    • 17.5 inch octagonal opening, 18" deep
    • This is a ceramics kiln intended for doing batches of pottery.
  • Model: RAPIDFIRE PROGRAMMABLE PRO-LP from Tabletop Furnace
    • from: Elizabeth Dalton
    • Size (inside): 6″ x 5″ x 6″
    • Power: 1500W
    • Max temperature: 2200 F
    • RapidFire kilns are designed to rapidly heat to 2200 F (1205 C) for jewelry, metal clays (PMC), glass fusing, glaze testing and ceramics.
  • These tools require a safety checkout

General Tips and Safety

  • Ask before attempting to operate!
  • Max temp: 2300F (do not operate at this temperature or higher. it is an old kiln and high heat will wear it out faster)
  • The garage door should be partially open to ventilate any fumes
  • The EconoKiln can be operated in the Auto Shop using an extension cable
