Use and Cleanup
- Use the right blade for your job. A thicker blade (1/2" or larger) is best for straight cuts in thick material. A thinner blade (around 1/4" or smaller) is better for curved cuts in thin material. If you are needing to resaw or mill larger pieces to size, consider using the more powerful Rockwell.
- Adjust the blade guard to slightly above the material you will be cutting.
- Make sure the saw's blast gate on the dust collection system is open, and all others (that aren't in use) are closed, and turn dust collector on.
- Clean up when you are done. Use a handbroom or vacuum to clean the table, underneath the table, and the lower compartment where dust really collects.
- Lower the blade guard when you are done. This is for safety - less exposed blade means less risk to people in the shop.
