Guides and Manuals
- Prepare Your Design & Screen - Photo Emulsion (or Cricut)
- Design: Create your image on a transparent film, ensuring dark areas block light for the stencil.
- Coat Screen: Apply a light-sensitive emulsion evenly to your screen and let it dry completely in a dark room.
- Expose: Place the design on the coated screen and expose it to UV light (Caydo units often use 3-5 mins) to harden the design areas, while the unexposed areas (your design) remain soft.
- Wash Out: Wash the screen with water to reveal your stencil.
- Printing Your Design
- Secure Surface: Tape your paper or fabric flat to your work surface.
- Position Screen: Place the screen over your material with the design facing down.
- Ink: Spoon a line of ink at the top of your design.
- Pull Squeegee: Hold at a 45-degree angle and pull the ink down the screen with firm, even pressure.
- Lift & Dry: Carefully lift the screen, then let the print dry.
- Key Tips & Care
- Multi-Color: Let each color dry fully before applying the next.
- Drying: Check your specific ink for drying times, but allow an hour or more.
